Why we started TeacherConnect: Bridging the gap in education recruitment
After spending years working in education, I saw first-hand the challenges that both schools and teachers face with recruitment. Too often, schools struggled to find reliable, high-quality teachers, while excellent educators were treated as numbers rather than professionals. Recruitment became driven by sales targets and profit instead of what's best for schools, teachers, and, ultimately, pupils.
I founded TeacherConnect because I believe there is a better way. As a not-for-profit supply teacher agency run exclusively by qualified teachers, our mission is to put education back at the heart of recruitment. We understand the classroom because we've been there ourselves. We know the importance of finding not just an available teacher, but the right teacher—someone who will fit the school's values, inspire pupils, and make a positive difference from day one.
The biggest problem we're trying to fix is the disconnect between recruitment agencies and education.
